Mason True enters his fourth season as an assistant wrestling coach at Baldwin Wallace University in 2017-2018. He is one of the key reasons why the Yellow Jackets have won consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference titles and earned a pair of second place finishes at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Tournament the past two seasons.

True serves as Head Coach Jamie Gibbs' top assistant and is involved in all aspects of the program. At the 2017 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional True was named the Mideast Regional Assistant Coach of the Year. 

True is a 2013 graduate of the University of Findlay with a degree in sport and event management.  He came to BW after spending one season at the University of Findlay as a volunteer assistant coach.

At Findlay from 2010-2013, the Arcadia, Ohio native was a team captain and two-time NCAA Division II national qualifier. He was the Div. II national runner-up as a junior in 2012-2013, and won a Div. II Super 2 Regional title as a junior and placed fifth as a sophomore. True had a 102-58 career record.

True began his collegiate career at NCAA Division I Northern Illinois University in 2008-2009 and posted an 8-4 record with seven straight wins. As a sophomore in 2009-2010, he had an 11-11 mark. He did not wrestle in 2010-2011.

In high school senior in 2007-2008, True finished fourth at the OHSAA State Tournament and was seventh as a junior in 2006-2007. Overall, he had a 165-24 scholastic record.
