AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the second time this season and in his career, junior two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC 157-pounder Stanley Bleich (North Ridgeville/Elyria Catholic) has been named the OAC Wrestler of the Week.
Bleich wins his second weekly accolade after he posted a 7-0 record last week, including a perfect 6-0 mark to win the 157lb title at the annual BW Invitational. The junior managed two major decisions and three decisions at the Invite, including an 8-4 victory to seal the title. Bleich also earned an 11-5 decision in the 28-6 victory over Ohio Northern University on Tuesday.
Bleich bears a career mark of 75-18, which ties him at 27th on BW's all-time career wins list. Of those victories, he has seven pins and 20 major decisions.
BW, who is ranked ninth in Division III, is back on the mats on Tuesday, December 3 when it hosts an OAC dual-match against No. 5 nationally-ranked the University of Mount Union in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center at 7 p.m.
