BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Ben LeBrun competed in four seasons of wrestling at Baldwin Wallace University. The four-year starter, 2016 All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection and three-time NCWA (National Wrestling Coaches Association) Scholar All-America choice earned four varsity letters. He is ranked eighth on the all-time Yellow Jacket win list.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Ben carries a 3.79 grade points average, is a Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar. He also is a member of the Chi Sigma Alpha Honor Society. Ben graduated Magna Cum Laude.

THREE-TIME ACADEMIC ALL-OAC:  Ben earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors as a sophomore, junior and senior.

THREE-TIME NWCA SCHOLAR ALL-AMERICAN:  Ben earned NWCA Scholar All-America honors as a sophomore, junior and senior.

ALL-OAC:  As a senior in 2015-2016, Ben was a second-team All-OAC selection.

AMONG ALL-TIME WIN LEADERS:  Ben compiled a 95-60 career record and is tied for eighth on the all-time win list (following the 2015-2016 season).

THROUGH-THE-YEARS:  Ben competed and started in wrestling for four years and earned four varsity letters. He started at 174 pounds as a freshman and sophomore and at 184 pounds as a junior and senior. Ben helped the Yellow Jackets to compile a 47-20 dual match record, set the single-season school-record for victories as both a junior and senior and BW's first OAC wrestling title in 2015-2016.

Individually, Ben compiled a 95-60 career record and ranks eighth all-time in school history in victories. He had 14 poins (falls) and one technical fall. Ben also had 243 takedowns, 170 escapes, 17 reversals and 38 total near falls. A list of Ben's career honors appears above.

As a freshman in 2012-2013, Ben competed in his first season of wrestling and earned his first varsity letter. He was the starting 174-pounder and compiled an overall record of 17-19. Ben totaled three pins, 51 takedowns and 55 escapes. He also had eight reversals and five total near falls. BW finished 4-4 overall.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Ben competed in his second season of wrestling and earned his second letter.  Ben was the starting 174-pounder for the second straight season and compiled a 26-12 record with five pins. He had 58 takedowns, 35 escapes, three reversals and three near falls. He earned Academic All-OAC honors and was a NWCA (National Wrestling Coaches Association) Scholar All-American. BW finished 8-3 overall and 22nd at the 2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Ben competed in his third season of wrestling and earned his third varsity letter. He started at 184 pounds and earned Academic All-OAC and NWCA Scholar All-America honors for the second straight year. Individually, Ben compiled a 27-13 record with three pins and one technical fall. He also had 68 takedowns, 47 escapes, two reversals and 18 total near falls. BW set a single-season school-record with 17 wins, a 17-6 record, including a 4-1 mark in the OAC, won the John Summa Memorial Tournament title, placed sixth at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional and 20th at the 2015 NCAA Div. III National Championship Tournament.

As a senior in 2015-2016, Ben competed in his fourth season of wrestling and earned his fourth letter. He started at 184 pounds and compiled a 25-16 overall and 3-1 OAC mark. It was his third straight 20-win season. He also had three pins, 66 takedowns, 33 escapes, four reversals and 12 total near falls. Ben earned second-team All-OAC, Academic All-OAC and NWCA Scholar All-America honors. At the 2016 NCAA Div. III Mideast Regional Tournament, Ben placed fourth at 184 pounds and narrowly missed qualifying for the national tourney. BW compiled a school-record 18 victories with an 18-8 overall record, won the OAC title with a perfect 5-0 record and placed an all-time best second at the NCAA Div. III Mideast Regional Tournament. BW also was 31st of 53 teams at the NCAA Division III National Championships.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Ben LeBrun grew up in Strongsville, Ohio and graduated from Strongsville High School.

Ben competed four years of wrestling and earned four letters. He also played two seasons of football.  He earned All-Northeast Ohio Conference honors in wrestling.

FAMILY CONNECTION:  Ben's father, Dave LeBrun, is a former Yellow Jacket assistant wrestling coach.
