BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Benjamin Hooff competed in hisn first season of wrestling at Baldwin Wallace University in 2015-2016. He hopes to earn his first varsity letter.

GENERAL WRESTLING INFORMATION:  As a freshman, Ben competed in his first season of wrestling and hopes to earn his first varsity letter. He battled for mat time at either 157, 165 or 174 pounds. Ben compiled a 7-8 record with one pin, 19 takedowns, 18 escapes, five reversals and 10 near falls. BW reset the school-record for single-season wins with 18, compile an 18-8 overall and perfect 5-0 OAC record and an OAC title and place second at the 2016 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Tournament.


HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Benjamin grew up in Worthington, Ohio and graduated from Thomas Worthington High School.

Benjamin wrestled for four years and earned four varsity letters. He was a Sectional champion, a two-time District qualifier (placed fifth in 2013-2014 and fourth in 2014-2015) and was a 2014 OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletic Association) state qualifier.  He compiled an 84-38 career record.

Academically, Benjamin was a Merit Roll student and an Ohio Capital Conference Scholar-Athlete.
