BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Sam Delarge competed in his second season of wrestling at Baldwin Wallace University in 2015-2016. He hopes to earn his first varsity letter.

GENERAL WRESTLING INFORMATION,  As a freshman in 2014-2015, Sam competed in his first season of wrestling and earned a certificate of participation. He compiled a 2-2 record with one pin, three takedowns, two escapes, one reversal and two total near falls. BW set a single-season school-record with 17 wins, finished 17-6 overall and 4-1 in OAC dual matches, won the 29th Annual John Summa Memorial Tournament, placed sixth at the NCAA Div. III Mideast Regional and 20th at the 2015 NCAA Div. III National Tournament.

As a sophomore in 2015-2016, Sam competed in his second season of wrestling and hopes to earn his first varsity letter. He competed for mat time at 149 pounds. Sam compiled a 3-6 record with two pins. He had six takedowns, eight escapes, four reversals and eight near falls. BW reset the school-record for single-season wins with 18, compile an 18-8 overall and perfect 5-0 OAC record and an OAC title and place second at the 2016 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Tournament.


HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Sam Delarge grew up in Clifton Park, New York and graduated from Albany Academy.

Sam wrestled for five years.

He was a four-time section placer and earned first-team All-Section 2 honors as a junior and senior. As a junior, he also was the Albany Academy Most Improved Wrestler. He also earned the Most Outstanding Wrestler award.
