MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - For the ninth straight week, the Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team has been ranked in the D3hoops.com National poll as it enters this week's poll at number 12.
BW (17-2, 11-1 Ohio Athletic Conference), who was 14th a week ago, rebounded two spots after two 30-plus OAC victories last week. The Yellow Jackets come in the 12th spot for the second time this season with 313 points.
BW is the lone OAC team represented in the Top-25 with crosstown rival John Carroll University only five points out. The Yellow Jackets is one of four Great Lakes Region teams in the poll. Hope (Mich.) College, who is undefeated at 20-0, is second with 596 points, DePauw (Ind.) University is fourth with 547 points and Transylvania (Ky.) University is seventh with 426 points.
BW is back in action on Wednesday, February 5 when it travels to Ada for an OAC showdown against Ohio Northern University in the ONU Sports Center at 7 p.m. The Yellow Jackets defeated the Polar Bears in the first meeting of the season by a final score of 59-42 in Berea.
