Women's Basketball Jumps Two Spots in Week 3 National Rankings at No. 18

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The undefeated Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team has reached the No. 18 spot in's third weekly installment of its national rankings.

BW appears in the top-25 rankings for the third consecutive week with 185 total vote points, which features a 31-vote point increase from last week's No. 20 ranking. The Yellow Jackets are the sole Ohio Athletic Conference representative in this week's top-25 rankings, with Ohio Northern University having just received votes. BW also claims its highest spot in the national rankings since garnering the No. 16 position in the 2014-15 preseason poll.

The Yellow Jackets' second straight two-spot jump in the national polls comes following a 2-0 week, that involved Ohio Athletic Conference victories against Heidelberg University and Muskingum University by final scores of 67-55 and 89-49, respectively. BW can credit their upward transition in the national rankings to an unbeaten 6-0 overall record, and a rather convincing an average margin of victory of 18.5 points per game.

BW returns to the court on Saturday, December 14 when it travels to Marietta to take on Marietta College for an OAC matchup in Ban Johnson Arena at 3:00 p.m.
