BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team has climbed five spots the third weekly D3hoops.com Top 25 poll.
After spending the past two weeks at No. 24, BW (7-0, 2-0 Ohio Athletic Conference) has risen to the No. 19 spot with 178 total points. The Yellow Jackets achieved their highest-ever ranking in the D3hoops era during the 2000-01 season when they were ranked No. 2 in the Week 2 poll.
BW is off to its best start since 2016-17 when the Yellow Jackets opened with an 11-0 record before suffering a loss. Last week, BW won its lone game against a non-conference crosstown foe in Case Western Reserve University to remain perfect on the season.
In the poll, the top four teams remained the same as Bowdoin (Maine) College again took the No. 1 spot with 612 points and 18 first-place votes. Hope (Mich.) College, the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) and Thomas More (Ky.) College ranked second through fourth.
The Yellow Jackets return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 11, for an OAC road contest against Capital University at 7 p.m. inside the Capital Center Performance Arena.
