BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Alex Furhmann ran in his second season of cross country and track and field.


As a freshman in 2012-2013, Alex competed in his first season of cross country and earned his first varsity letter. He ran his best 8K race at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble where he finished 234th out of 275 total runners with a time of 28:24.30. Alex also competed at the season-ending Ohio Athletic Conference Championships where he finished 120th out of 147 total runners when he finished in a mark of 29:50.2.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Alex competed in his second season of cross country and earned his second varsity letter. Alex competed during the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Championships where he finished 118th out of 143 runners with a time of 31:03.99. Alex competed during the OAC Championships where he placed 117th out of 140 runners with a season best time of 29:27.7. At the NCAA regional meet in Calvin, Ohio, Alex placed 222nd of 252 runners and crossed the finish line with a time of 30:22.


HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Alex grew up in Painesville, Ohio and graduated from Painesville Riverside High School. He competed in three years of cross country and earned three varsity letters. Alex also ran track for four years and earned four varsity letters.
