MITCH SUPAN '13 enters his third season as the throws coach in track and field for the men and women at Baldwin Wallace University in 2018-2019.  

Supan returned to his alma mater after serving for three years as the Assistant Director of Performance at E.L.I.T.E. Training Performance in Brunswick, Ohio.  He also spent four years as an independent throws coach working with high school student-athletes.

Supan, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in exercise science in 2012, was a three-time NCAA Division III All-American in the discus and a four-year letterwinner.  He was a two-time OAC champion in the discus and an OAC champion in the hammer as a junior.

Supan is the school-record holder in the discus, outdoor shot put and the weight throw. He was named the 2012 Kenneth Steingass Most Outstanding Senior Male Athlete, the Paul “Sparky" Adams Most Outstanding Field Athlete at the 2012 OAC Outdoor Championships and as a seven-time OAC Male Field Athlete of the Week during his career.

In addition to his athletics prowess, Supan was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and one of two Yellow Jacket athletes selected to attend the National Collegiate Athletic Association Leadership Forum.

In addition to his track and field success at BW, he was a Junior United States of America Track and Field hammer and discus qualifier in 2010.

Supan, a native of Medina and a graduate of Walsh Jesuit High School, is a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  He resides in Berea.
