Men's Soccer Celebrates its 50th Season in 2019 With Alumni Reunion on September 14

BEREA, Ohio -- On Saturday, September 14, Baldwin Wallace University will celebrate its 50th season of men's varsity soccer when the Yellow Jackets host Pitt-Bradford in a 2 p.m. game at The George Finnie Stadium. There are a number of activities being planned for the alumni who come back to attend and participate in the day-long event.

"We are excited to begin the 50th season of men's soccer at Baldwin Wallace University in 2019-2020," said Head Coach Reid Ayers, the winningest coach in Yellow Jacket soccer history. "We have a strong nucleus of players returning and we are looking forward to having an excellent season and putting on a good show for our alumni on September 14."

The day will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Alumni check-in and registration under BW's new video scoreboard at Finnie Stadium. From 11 a.m. to approximately 12 noon, those willing Alumni will participate in the annual Alumni Game at the Tressel Field pitch.

From 12 noon until the varsity game begins at 2 p.m., the Alumni will gather just outside of the stadium for a tailgate lunch and beverages. 

Following BW's 2 p.m. varsity contest versus Pitt-Bradford, from approximately 4 p.m.-to-6 p.m., the alumni will resume its tailgate in the PAC (Packard Athletic Center) with current student-athletes, coaches, fellow alumni, parents, administrators and staff members and fans of the Yellow Jackets.
