BEREA, Ohio – Under the direction of third-year head coach Jim Hilvert, the Baldwin Wallace University football team opens up the 2019 season with three straight road games.
Hilvert and the Yellow Jackets head north for the season-opening and lone non-conference game against Alma (Mich.) College on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 1 p.m. on Bahlke Field.
BW then travels south to Westerville to begin Ohio Athletic Conference action on Saturday, Sept. 14, against Otterbein University followed by a trip to the University of Mount Union on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Heidelberg University travels to Berea for the Yellow Jackets' home opener and the 42nd Lee Tressel Shrine Classic on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 1:30 p.m. inside George Finnie Stadium while the home portion of the schedule continues with Community & Family Day and Homecoming against Capital University on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m.
Following the bye week, BW returns to the road on Saturday, Oct. 19, to take on Muskingum University.
Wilmington College and Marietta College come to town in back-to-back weeks – Saturday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 2 – before the Yellow Jackets hit the road for the last time on Saturday, Nov. 9, against Ohio Northern University.
BW closes out the 2019 regular season by hosting OAC and crosstown rival John Carroll University on Saturday, Nov. 16, for Seniors' Day and the 31st Battle for the Cuyahoga Gold Bowl Trophy.
