BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University baseball program is offering two opportunities for high school players looking to advance their career to the collegiate level. These camps are designed to give players an opportunity to experience a NCAA training environment.
The BW Baseball Fall Prospect Camp will be taking place on September 1st on Fisher Field. The camp is open to 2019 and 2020 high school graduates. Prospective players will learn and showcase abilities to the BW baseball coaching staff, as well as receive evaluations in hitting, defense, throwing velocity, Rapsodo ball spin rate and batted ball velocity. The camp will begin at 9:30 a.m. and go to 2:30 p.m. The cost of the camp is $70 per camper.
The BW Baseball Fall Development League will be a six week camp that follows the Prospect Camp, taking place on every weekend starting on September 5 through October 14. Throughout this time period, pitchers will report on Wednesday's for bullpens and pitch development. Hitters will report every Saturday for a batting practice scrimmage, defense, and base-running drills. Sundays will include a live game between all campers. The development league will cost $350 per player.
