BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University senior American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-Mideast Region pitcher Danny Cody (Medina/Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) has landed on the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/Google Cloud Academic All-District 7 team for the first time in his career.
Cody and the rest of the Academic All-District honorees now move to the Academic All-America ballot, which will be announced in June.
A Master's of accounting and finance student, Cody carries a cumulative 3.54 GPA and is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.
This season, Cody has made 12 appearances and 11 starts with a 9-0 record in 70.1 innings pitched. The senior leads the both the Yellow Jackets and the Ohio Athletic Conference in wins (9) and strikeouts (98) while ranking second with his career-low 1.93 earned run average.
For his career, Cody has made 57 appearances with 31 starts and has compiled a 19-7 record with two saves in 211.2 innings pitched. He owns a career ERA of 3.45 and has recorded 251 strikeouts, averaging 10.7 punch outs per nine innings.
BW finished the 2019 campaign with an overall record of 25-13 and an OAC mark of 14-4 to clinch the school's first OAC regular season championship since 1988.
