BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University baseball team, under the direction of eighth-year head coach Brian Harrison, will open up the 2018 season on the road with a non-conference doubleheader with Anderson (Ind.) University Feb. 17 at the Grand Park Sports Complex in Westfield, Indiana.
Three games with Oberlin College will take place the following weekend with a doubleheader in Oberlin on Saturday, Feb. 25, and BW's 2018 home opener on Sunday, Feb. 25.
Spring break will take the Yellow Jackets down to Florida March 3-10 to compete in the Snowbird Classic and the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Port Charlotte and Ft. Myers, respectively. The spring break trip will feature games against St. John Fisher (N.Y.) College, Babson (Mass.) College, Bluffton University, Alvernia (Pa.) College, the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford (Pa.), Kean (N.J.) University and two games against Moravian (Pa.) College.
Following the Florida trip, the Yellow Jackets return home to Berea for two non-conference doubleheaders against Wittenberg University and Thiel (Pa.) College on Saturday and Sunday, March 17-18.
BW will also host one other non-conference game against Denison University.
Ohio Athletic Conference action opens with a doubleheader on the road against Marietta College on March 24. The OAC home slate includes doubleheaders with the University of Mount Union, Wilmington College, Heidelberg University and Capital University.
The OAC Tournament will begin on May 10 with the championship game being contested on May 12.
BW finished the 2017 season with a 22-17 overall record and a 10-8 mark in the OAC.
