BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team under the direction of veteran Head Coach Cheri Harrer opens the 2016-17 season on Tuesday, November 15 when it hosts a non-conference game against Oberlin College in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center at 7:40 p.m.
BW also plays a non-league home game against Ohio Wesleyan University on December 19. The Yellow Jackets will hit the road for non-conference contests against Case Western Reserve University on November 22, Alfred (N.Y.) University on November 30 and St. Vincent (Pa.) College on December 21.
The scheduled is highlighted by the inaugural BW Holiday Invitational on December 29 and 30. The eight game invitational will feature both the Yellow Jacket women's and men's squads. BW opens the invitational against The College of Wooster on December 29 at 4 p.m. The consolation and championship games will be played on December 30 at 1 and 5 p.m., respectively.
The Yellow Jackets open Ohio Athletic Conference play on Saturday, December 3 when it travels to Marietta to take on Marietta College in the Ban Johnson Arena at 3 p.m. The first home OAC clash is on Wednesday, January 4 against the University of Mount Union at 7:30 p.m.
The OAC Tournament is slated for February 20-25.
BW finished the 2015-16 season with an overall record of 17-11 and a fourth place finish in the OAC standing with a mark of 11-7. The Yellow Jackets advanced to the OAC Tournament Championship for the second straight season.
